You can use them as a place to store your seasonal clothing. This way you save closet and drawer space for the clothing of the season and when the season changes you just switch places with them.
How about your sheets and blankets. What more convenient place for them then right under the bed, the place you're going to be using them anyway.
If you don't have a linen closet you can store all your linen in them along with your wash cloths and towels.
In the kids room way not have them store their toys in them. It keeps their room from being cluttered with toys and save you from always having to try to find a place to put them.
They are also a good place to store paperwork. You can keep your old tax forms, products warranty and other important papers there.
Lots of people are into crafts these days. Here is a good place to keep craft supplies like markers, pencils, Construction paper, scissors, crayons, tape, glue and other stuff.
And how about decorations? Here is a place where you can easily find them and have them right on hand when you need them.
Conclusion
It can also make your life more clutter free to have your stuff in a place that's actually hidden away. I mean how many people are going to come in your home and look under the bed? Not too many.
